Ramona Pullover in Haunui

Burke's Pass
Southern Alps

I absolutely love this beautifully soft Ramona Pullover designed by Elizabeth Smith. It goes back to what I value most in knitting: simple, classic and wearable design.

Choose from 3 different shapes to flatter all body types:  an A-line (which is what the pictured sample is knitted in), a waist-shaped and a straight version. Inclusively sized, choose from sizes 1 - 9. Measurements given are finished bust sizes and it is recommended to allow 2-4" positive ease for the best fit.

  • Un-dyed 100% wool "Haunui" by Noro
  • Fiber is in Noro's traditional "thick-thin" medium/light bulky style
  • The skill level is for an adventuresome beginner, advanced beginner and beyond
  • Finished inclusive sizes range from 34" to 66" bust measurements

The sweater is knit from the top down and split at the underarms to knit one of the 3 body-shaping versions. Sleeves are transferred to dpns (or you can use the magic loop method as I did), with the neckline and cuffs worked in a size smaller needle.

See Ramona Pullover kits in Viola and Tsuido.

Needles are not included, this project requires:

  • US size 10 - 24" & 32" circular needles & dpns (or use 32" for magic loop method)
  • US size 9 - 32" & 16" circular needles & dpns (or use 32" for magic loop)
