We are so excited to be exclusively carrying this sweet hat design by Jenny Noto of @Wanded527!

We're pairing this unique and lovely pattern with exquisite hand dyed Classy Merino from Dream In Color. We also have the same kit in hand-dyed Classy Cashmere.

  • Fiber Content: 100% superwash merino
  • Weight: Worsted
  • Gauge: 16-18 sts = 4" on US 7-8
  • Weight/Yardage: 4 oz/250 yds
  • Care: Machine or hand wash gentle, lay flat to dry or 10 min in warm, not hot dryer

The kit includes one skein of hand-dyed yarn and a download for the pattern. Needles are not included. This project requires US size 6 & 7 needles.

Jenny is a talented young designer who creates some of the most unique and yummy hat designs I've ever had the pleasure to knit. Her impeccably written patterns are detailed with photos and notations that will make certain you will complete your project beautifully and successfully!

She tells us that the Siren Hat & Cowl patterns were inspired in part by this passage in Newton Scamander's, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them":

"The oldest recorded merpeople were known as sirens (Greece) and it is in warmer waters that we find the beautiful mermaids more frequently depicted in Muggle literature and painting. The Selkies of Scotland and the Merrows of Ireland are less beautiful, but they share that love of music which is common to all merpeople ."
