Slyngrose Beanie

This unique and stunning hat is really something special. Named after a tall climbing rose, the lacy design twists and rambles up the body of the hat.

We've knit it up in Laura by Gedifra creating a light and frothy, almost ethereal effect. Using a tubular cast on, the wide brim is knit in 1x1 rib with the body and crown knit in the lacy pattern.

• Fiber Content: 65% Superfine Alpaca, 35% Cotton

• Gauge: 16 sts = 4" on US 6-7

This is an intermediate level knit, or it would be good for an adventuresome advanced beginner who wants to try out some new techniques! The kit comes with a downloadable pattern and all the yarn necessary to complete the project.

Note: You don't have to use a tubular cast on if you don't wish to go to the trouble. The tan, grey and blue hats are knit using a regular cast on. The pink sample has the tubular cast on.

Needles are not included. This project requires US size 4 (for the brim) & size 6 (for the hat - 12-16" circular needles.
